Welcome to GLOW,
Being a Dr. Oz fan for many years, meeting Lisa and Daphne Oz was a
special treat for me and for the GLOW staff. As a Mother/Daughter "team" and a family unit engaged in raising awareness on vital
nutritional/health issues nationwide (www.healthcorp.org), Lisa and Daphne inspire, inform and amaze us all! Daphne is expanding her voice as a health
advocate in ABC’s Fall premiere of The Chew while Lisa, in her NYT best-seller US: Transforming Ourselves and The Relationships that Matter Most (reviewed here), discusses compassionate living through environmental, global, and societal
action, adding, “and, lastly, smile. It doesn’t sound like much but it can turn
your life around.”
And speaking of smiles, we are equally delighted to welcome to the pages
of GLOW, Hoda Kotb, the much beloved NBC anchor/author in an interview “Just Like Us”! Thank you, Hoda.
With deep appreciation to Mt. Sinai and Columbia Presbyterian Hospitals,
we introduce into this issue a new feature, Innovations in Women’s Health,
which outlines new detection methods, treatment, and prevention for leading women’s health issues including breast cancer and ovarian cancer, along with Dr. John Connolly’s advice on finding the best, most qualified doctors.
Finally, from our distinguished
experts in beauty, health, and
wellness, we offer the latest
and most advanced information on treatments, technologies and
procedures for the face, body, and skin as well as oral health, fitness, diet and nutrition, and lifestyle.
We hope this issue brings you
information to help you achieve an “inner and outer glow” and the true beauty that comes from within.
